  • Once you have had a referral to WEST you will be given a Job Coach who will meet with you and register you to the WEST service.
  • Your Job Coach will talk to you about your experience, find out what other skills you may need for work and then support you to start applying for jobs and prepare for interviews.
  • They can advise you on how to get a benefit calculation completed and show you the financial benefits of going into paid work.
  • You will look for paid employment with the help of WEST. If you successfully find a job and are offered it after the interview, you will be supported by your Job Coach to start work. You will continue to have this support until you and your new employer feel confident you no longer need support from us.
  • WEST will still stay in touch and check in to see how you are getting on and support you in keeping your employment until you feel you are ready to do this on your own.
