The Wiltshire and Swindon Network Users website uses selected fonts, font types, text colours,
text sizes, and background colours. You can override any or all of these settings, which is useful if you have limited or
low vision. One way to do this is to use the Zoom function. Note however that this will change the size of the whole
page including pictures. If you would like to use this function click here to learn how to use the Zoom function.
If you prefer to be selective about your changes you will have to override those
specified. Here’s how…… To override website font and colour settings- In Internet
Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
- On
the General tab, click Accessibility.
- Select the Ignore
colors specified on webpages, Ignore font styles specified on webpages, and Ignore font
sizes specified on webpages check boxes, and then click OK twice.
- Close
any Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer windows that are currently open.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
- Click
the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.
- In the Reset
Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
- When Internet Explorer
finishes restoring the default settings, click Close, and then click OK.
- Close
Internet Explorer.
The changes will take effect
the next time you open Internet Explorer.
Now
that you’ve done that, you can go on to…………. Select colours
